What We Do

A message from the founders of The Leading Women Project, Christine Jacobs and Janet Walkow

Combining what we have learned from successful careers, raising children and working in the largely male environments, we are both fascinated how leadership of self and others are intertwined.

To help women of all ages to find and define themselves and their inner leader, The Leading Women Project explores these concepts, draws on our leadership experiences and those of many other women.

We feel that there are many ways women can prepare themselves to be able to lead – both themselves and others. By sharing stories and creating a guide to help define their values and goals, we will help women of all ages achieve true self-awareness and confidence as they write their unique script for the lives they want to lead – so they can be their own leading woman. We invite you to contact us and share your leadership stories.

The Founders

Leading Women founders, Janet Walkow and Christine Jacobs, are currently working on a book for young women to provide understanding on self leadership as the first step towards leading others.

Janet and Chris speak at local, national and international meetings on the unique leadership issues and challenges facing women. Their business experience provides a unique perspective on the business, political and personal impact of effective leadership strategies. For more information, contact the Leading Women Project.
